Chao are little Mysterious Creatures, aren't they? Acoording to a official writer for IDW Sonic Comics, SEGA Confirmed they are Genderless
Evan Stanley anwserd a Question on her Tumblr Page regarding The Pronouns of Cheese, Cream's Chao. While Cheese was Called He/Him, sudenly in issue #33, Cheese was reffered to They/Them. A Pronun for Non-Binary Person.
What's also noteworthy about the News that it's not a lone writer making guesswork of Sonic's Lore. But SEGA made it a pollicy to make all Chao Genderless in the IDW Comics Sonic Series.
